Please describe about the technique or recent research in resource recovery of of biodegradable and non biodegradable solid waste in solid waste management plant and also the techniques involved in the resource recovery of above wastes?
This article is a little dated but reflects some of the state of plastics recycling for energy use: https://cen.acs.org/environment/sustainability/Should-plastics-source-energy/96/i38. The US Environmental Protection Agency also has an interesting web site on US yard trimming waste (https://www.epa.gov/facts-and-figures-about-materials-waste-and-recycling/yard-trimmings-material-specific-data - figure attached), the US Department of Energy published a classic 2016 Billion Ton Study' on the use of biomass, and the US Energy Information Administration publishes an annual Energy Outlook.
You may check also publications stating the use of bomb calorimeter for the determination of energy for some biodegradable and non-biodegradable solid waste.
Yes, due to the increasing pollution of the environment with various wastes, including plastic waste, the importance of improving the technology of automated waste sorting, recycling and environmentally friendly burning of unnecessary waste that is not recyclable and non-biodegradable is growing. It is necessary to improve ecological technologies and create ecological innovations in the field of waste management in such a way as to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce the scale of the environmental pollution process.
My Research Group is working on multiple waste-to-energy projects covering all biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.
We have published many detailed/ interesting articles on the different waste to energy technologies, including experiments work on a small pilot-scale pyrolysis plant in our research center using plastic waste, biomass waste (with different catalysts) etc. We have also published on emerging concepts of waste-based biorefineries and circular economies.
All our articles can be downloaded in pdfs from my academia site with one click downloads
I am also developing my Research Group's website which has access to all our group's papers and lots of information for people working in this field, especially students.
