There are some certain kind of alloys e.g. Ni-Ti, Mg-Sc etc which have shape memory effect. I tried to find the similarity among all of them, why only those set of alloys have shape memory effect. I guess it may be structure dependent.
Please help me to understand the reason.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I still have some query. I read many papers till date most of them materials have bcc structure in austenite phase , for example Ni-Ti, Cu-Al-Ni, Cu-Zn-Al etc. Is it necessary having bcc crystal structure for shape memory effect? What is the secret of hidden structure? What is the hidden structure?
