What is the reason of missing excel data in Arcgis attribute table?

When I am doing the import data of excel files some data is missing after projecting excel shape file of the data. It is i was able to input the data by using edit options in the Editor. I am not getting the reason for missing data can anyone give me the reason for missing the data.

Have you try to export your data in an other format (*.dbf, *.txt,...) before using then into ArcGis ?

In any case be careful not to have any active current selection before projecting the data in ArcMap
