The procedure for the determination of the refractive index of liquid and powder samples (pharmaceutical) is known. (by using Abbe refractometer and Digital Refractometer). In general, the refractive index of a material is in between 1.3 to 1.7. I would like to know the procedure and equipment for the determination of the refractive index of the powder rock sample (Clay, bauxite, etc) Thanks
