ci, abbreviation of cubitus interruptus, is an allele on the chromosome 4 in Drosophila. I recently got some fly lines carry this allele, but I can not figure out the phenotype of this gene. Have anyone ever used flies with ci?
Wing vein L4 is truncated, and small amounts of ectopic wing vein are occasionally present. The posterior wing margin is fused to the alula, has larger bristles and is often nicked. (Florence and McGinnis, 1998)
thanks a lot for sharing with me such useful website. I got the vivid pictures and detailed description in the web and finally got my question solved. Thank you.
