Sohrab Sepehri one of Persian poets says at the end of one of his tender and mystical poems called "water`s footsteps" :

Perhaps our business is to float within the magic of the rose.

If we try to see it from its literary aesthetic perspective, the "rose" in terms of its perception of a special flower became an allegorical and subversive composition that founded one of the most important genres of the Middle Ages from the Roman de la Rose capable of stretching into a long poem, not for nothing, the Roman de la Rose remains one of the pillars of medieval literature where literary wisdom and grace arise around "a rose" and the mystery of its wealth imaginative marking successive trajectories also marked by Dante Alighieri [1265-1321] with his Candid Rose [Paradise XXXI, 1-8] with its petals turned into seats for pious or William Sakespeare himself who felt inspired by the Italian Matteo Bandello [1554, Novelle II, 9] “A rose by any other name World smell as sweet” [1594-1596] for whom words do not count and the “rose” continues to be a rose with whatever name one wants to give it. The “rose” can continue its path to even become a literary icon used also in the “Name of the Rose” [1986] under the hand of Umberto Eco [“stat rosa pristina nomine, nomina nuda tenemus”] things no longer exist and only the words whose title was chosen from a quadruple of names remain.
For Dante it may have become a "system" as it was for Umberto Eco when he chose the name of the "rose"

The rose in Sepehri's poem can be seen as a metaphor for life's mysteries and the beauty that can be discovered within them. The poem proposes that merely experiencing and appreciating these mysteries, rather than striving to comprehend and analyze them, maybe more gratifying.
One reading of the poem is that the rose represents the natural world's beauty and mystery and that by floating inside its magic, we might discover calm and appreciation for the world around us. It may also be interpreted as a metaphor for how we might discover beauty and significance in our own lives by letting go of our desire to understand and control everything and simply being present at the moment.
We all love roses and they always inspire us, but the question is what is the mystery of the rose? and as Academics we should interact around its mystery within the History of our Humanity.

Flowers are generally delicate and beautiful and symbolize beauty, tenderness and purity, but roses are especially a symbol of love and somehow a meaning for being and living. Because life with all its sufferings and ups and downs needs meaning and pure love can be its greatest secret and meaning.
In this case, our poet and painter Sohrab Sepehri has a beautiful poem called the sound of water's feet, which he says in the last part of the poem.

I have 7 rose trees in my small front garden. I love them. They have nice memories for me.
These pictures were taken over many years.
I think the one with pink and cream is a peace (rose). It is my favourite but years since I planted it. The red one is an Ernest H. Morse; it is tall and just by the front gate. It has a lovely smell!

A modern polyantha rose:
It flowers continuously with white flowers with a darker centre and is known for its subtle aniseed fragrance. It is a very hardly plant that adapts well to nutrient-poor soil. Well suited to borders that need colour, it requires partial shade.
With appropriate disbudding and pruning the plant can bloom throughout the growing season.
