In the West the term means occultism and black magic and devil worship and not black people.
In deciding which research method is appropriate for your study, it's important to identify the population and sample of participants, sampling method to be used. In my opinion, Qualitative or Mixed method ( Quali and Quanti) would be applicable for this research topic.
