I am new to the field of dynamic group formation within the MOOCs context and I am just wondering whether homogeneous or heterogeneous groups are more effective?
Of course, Thushari Atapattu, heterogeneous groups are more effective as different people brings new variety of ideas about any issue/decision. However, conflict may also arise but ultimately group reach on good decision. Homogeneous groups are not creative. Their thinking line is not eclectic.
Thank you Subhash Kundu for the answer. Yes, I agree with your point even though conflicts can arise. I am looking for good studies which proved this experimentally. I hope there will be heaps of such studies.
