I worked in a project in Kenya with a very basic BGP system which was incredibly cheap to build and didnt need additionally heating as the once here in Germany do due to the local climate at the ecuator. For a regional implementation program must set a single standard model, which is more suited to these conditions. I would like to discuss this methodology with you.
You suppose to work with semi batch reactor, you have a very wide range of waste and types of biomass (Animal and grass) as you said,so all you need is a big hole in the ground with piping system, but you need to decide to work aerobically or not?
