In our country (Estonia)
1. University of Tartu and University of Tallinn are responsible for teacher training of physical education and sport (PE)
2. The methods of training are theoretical courses and practical training. Previous sports experiences are needed too.
3. There is no special way of attracting people to become a PE teacher? And because being a teacher is not very highly valued in our country many become trainers in sport clubs instead of teaching in school.
4. Future teachers have different forms of pracitce in shcools.
5. There is no formal process of assessing the performance of a PE teacher.
6. The importance of the quantity and quality of retraining courses has varied during the time. Right now they are not mandatory, but most of the PE teachers are qutie active to learn new skills to make their lessons more interesting.
