Most people don’t know! Can you measure success in happiness, wealth or fame? Would you consider yourself an example of real success? If yes or no, tell about it.
I remember, years ago, reading about Erikson's Psychosocial Theory. It does not come under my areas of any expertise, but if I have interpreted it right, I thought that when I was older and entering the 8th stage, I would want to feel integrity as opposed to despair. Contentment not regret about the past:

Now, looking back, I feel comfortable positive about how things have gone.
So, to me, this state of integrity is success.
Does this make sense?
I will be really interesting to read how others respond.
Professor Nader Aghakhani, I would be interested about how you see success in life for you.
success may take many views, it depends how do we weigh it ! It could be accumulated in excess "self satisfaction" leading to happiness with the matter you succeeded in !!!
Success is a relative and subjective concept. A murderer may kill a person and think he/ she is successful and a scientist may discover a drug and save many lives and think so.
But I think the result of an effort is meaningful and our justifications about ourselves are not important. We will judge about all of our works as soon as possible.
Only those people are more happy who maintained balance in personal and professional life. Absence of imbalance either one of it make one unhappy and unsatisfied.
Success in life may be defined as the degree of excellence in achieving one's life goals (general goal and specific goals). For real success these goals need to be right in terms of law and morality. Also the ways of achieving the legally and morally accepted goals are to be lawful and moral.
Life is it's own purpose. A human being alone can live a full-fledged life without looking successful in others views. Success is about things and phenomena around us while happiness arises from within. It's very individual and related to the source of creation that exists in everyone of us.
In order to achieve real success in life, we need to understand the meaning of real success in life and in order to understand the meaning of real success in life, we need to understand the real meaning of life. Therefore, as a subjective construct, it is completely relative and largely depends on the individual's worldview.
Regardless of how we define/redefine real success in life, the road to success and the road to failure are almost exactly the same! So, both are choices and we should choose wisely! Same as what Roy T. Bennett stated in his famous book, The Light in the Heart (2016): “Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.”
