I'm not sure if this is the concept you're concerned with, but the relational 'non-deterministic ideal operator' considers data dependencies as situational and changeable over time/circumstance on given data, hence non-deterministic. So, any deterministic dependencies on said data are considered "trivial particularisations". This is the paper I'm referring to:
