I reckon Kant's ideas on philosophy , ethics , human experience and reason can be utilized to explain the situation you have demonstrated. Immanuel Kant  tried to explain the relationship between reason and human experience and to remove the distinctions between and separation of experience and mind.  Kant  ended the rationalists and empiricists confrontations and is widely held to have synthesized these two schools of thought.  Experience based reasoning is likewise blending empirical facts and logical reasoning . Also, the dichotomous categorization  of ''experiencing self'' and ''memorizing self '' are indicative of this combination.
