Fundamental and applied researches definitions can be follows:

Fundamental Research is experimental or theoretical work under taken primarily to acquire new knowledge of the underlying foundations of phenomena and observable facts, without any direct practical application or use in view.

Applied Research is basically driven by some specific application: doing it at all, or doing better, faster, or more economically than achieved by the current “state of the art”. Or maybe producing better tools for doing members of some family of applications.

But what is the Innovative Research?

or are applied and innovative researches the same thing?

Is Innovative research really research itself?
