in Africa, particularly in Nigeria producers of locust bean seeds (use as soup/sauce condiment) separate the seed from other components of the pods by first peeling the epichyma from the other part, then use their feet to mash and press the yellow pulp. this is crude and unhygienic, also vital component of the yellow pulp is lost. i think there should be a better way or technology of doing this.
