I think, the industry prefers the other type of distillation. Solar distillation unfortunately has an inconenent - low productivity. ok it is very economical but ... I think, there are small solar stations in isolated areas in the world, other are in the research laboratories.

The multi-effect saturation may "use" solar energy but it prefers another source of energy. available 24 hours.
