Sometime the unpolarized light is considered as superposition of polarized light but this is also confusing. As superposition of polarized light will lead to a polarized light.

Superposition of polarised light will give polarised light only if they are having some phases correlation otherwise it will not.
In case of unpolarised light we we simply consider it as composed of light of different polarisation with no phase correlation.

Discussions as made by Dr Lesina and Dr Singh is nice and such information are available in the literature. But still it is not very clear. I want to know the expression of the E-field of an unpolarized light.
These slides contain the statistical representation of incoherent/unpolarized electric field. The E-field is considered as a stochastic process.

As such there is no expression for unpolarised light(as far as i know) but if u want to model it u need to add light with different polarisation and with random phases.
