Webster et al. (1992) examined the effects of substituting soybean meal for fish meal. There were no significant differences (P > 0.05) in percentage survival, food conversion ratio, and protein efficiency ratio among different diets fed to fish which consisted of four diets with different proportion of fish meal and soybean meal. Growth of blue catfish was similar to that reported for channel catfish juveniles.
