I have been collecting air quality data for over two years varying from one season to another. There seem to be some spatio-temporal variations of the measured data. I need additional information to explain this.

I want to undertand your question.
A first way may be for example: water drops present in the atmosphere can interact with SO2 from active volcanoes, producing acid rain.
A secont way to understand your question is that you want to ask about air quality assessment (measurement). In this specific case is very important to know which method you are using.
Give us more details and be sure we will give contributions based in our experiences.
