I will appreciate it highly if you give me a link or a note about the comparison between BA degree in business economics or financial economics and if possible the leading universities in giving these degrees.
Degree is the degree, but the main difference in perception between the two is that in the Business Economics it is studied on all SBUs in which the Finance is one of the Strategic Business Unit, while in the Financial Economics it is just studied on Finance. Both are very well indeed. You should know what you want in studying and what your job is and also what future you imagine for yourself. Kindly note that the Business Economics is not a general course so that it is a detailed program involving with all SBUs and SSUs in any organization. It is recommended to have more studies before any comment.
Dear Ahmad, According to your question, both the degree is related to economics, the business economics is a General field of economics while the financial economics is specific field. job points of view, in Business economics you can apply to those job related to economics in general while in financial economics you can also apply to those jobs required eligibility of finance which is a specific field in Management sciences.....
As a practical resource, there are guides to colleges listed on Amazon.com such as the US News and World Report Guide to Colleges. The degrees are described and the school websites cited where you can find lists of courses. To research potential employment, go to a job database such as chronicle.com and search both degrees for potential jobs. Also, the school offering the degree may have some insight into the job market in the academic department or in their career center. Good luck! I would also inquire whether graduates tend to be employed in the intended industry or not. Are you seeking a doctoral degree? My impression is that 72% of doctorates are not employed to be full time faculty. I am looking at the need to be employed in industry to get a full time job with benefits instead of adjunct teaching. Also, is your intent to explore student loan repayment? Employment at any level of US government earns student loan forgiveness after tent years of making payments on consolidated student loans. The intent of your question and your degre level are not clear. Some Econ and finance majors intend to go into public or corporate accounting. I am pursuing a doctorate in Business Administration. Most likely a well paid information technology job in accounting might be my best choice. Are you doing personal planning or general research?
Economics offers a greater scope of studies, touching on both macro and micro economics, where finance is only one aspect. Conversely, a finance major has a narrower scope focusing mostly on how individuals and organizations use and account for monetary resources.
