The fracture stress is stress according of griffith theory , including sperate of body but the failure according the yield theory including exceed the elastic limit only
At fracture stress, the brittle material separates.
When the material fails to provide desired service at certain stress, it can be called failure stress and depends on your definition of failing. Brittle fracture is also failure. It is found in many places that 'ductile failure' is referred as 'failure'.
When a mammal is subjected to stress is under stress. Stress knife to be controlled and uncontrollable. When it is possible to control the plastic properties of a material in a stressful state then we can talk about stress in success. even to ruin to determine the maximum mechanical and technological characteristics. Failure of stress is when you can not control the process of modification. Unexpected results are emerging, where new horizons of scientific activity are emerging.
In common laboratory experiments, fracture stress is understood as the stress to move a crack (generally a starter crack) over small distance; under such conditions, the failure stress would correspond to crack propagation over macroscopic distance. The latter is associated with a mechanism that overcomes the most difficult obstacle to fracture propagation in given large structure under load. Both stresses (fracture and failure) involve the Griffith relation G=2 ϒ (G crack extension force and ϒ the surface energy) but with different expressions for G. We may think about a large structure under flexion; fracture stress is generally associated with crack propagation in tension regions while failure stress would be associated with crack motion through the compression region.
