There are many similarities between the two and experiential learning can also be situated learning and vice versa. However, the main distinction is that experiential learning (sometimes it can be known as authentic learning) is the type of learning that is based on real-life situations, like practical tasks, simulations, scenarios that bring learners as close to the 'real world' while in the confines of the classroom/learning environment. Situated learning is based on the real-life environments, its intention is to re(create) a situation for the learner to learn/perform a task in a real professional world. examples of situated learning can be industry placements, teacher internship in schools, etc.

In the situated learning approach, knowledge and skills are learned in the contexts that reflect how knowledge is obtained and applied in everyday situations.
Experiential learning is about creating assignments and activities based on real-life situations. "experiential" contains all the following elements: reflection, critical analysis and synthesis, opportunities for students to take initiative, make decisions and be accountable for the results.
experimental learning is an approach of learning a subject through practicals. whereas, situation learning is a learning that involves in handling situations.

Experiential and Situated Learning Presented by Vernon N. Buena Jr. Experiential Teaching and Learning “Experiential learning takes place when a person involved in an activity looks back and evaluates it, determines what was useful or important to remember, and uses this information to perform another activity.”"...

The difference has to do with the environments within which learning takes place. Situational learning takes place in the REAL WORLD while experiential learning takes place in a VIRTUAL WORLD made to mimic what happens in the real world.
The latter (Experiential/Virtual world learning) has been shown to be very effective for online teaching, yet, for more skills orientation, the former (Situational/Real world learning) must be synergized.
