I am a bit confused about the terminology used for Sunderban (in West Bengal, India). Is it a delta or estuarine settings.
Or I would say, Sunderban is a complex system of the delta which consists of tidal rivers, estuaries, mangrove forests and creeks.

Dr Bayan and Dr Prasad has given relevant information on a above topic.Further I would like to add few words about this topic, all estuarine systems may not form deltas as said by Dr Prasad and Dr Bayan only mighty rivers can able to form the deltas like Sundarbans and
Godavari. Lagoon is a back water system from sea and no connection with fresh water while estuary is a river mouth region regularly influenced by high tides and low tides of sea.
Dr. GMN Rao, no where in the answer it is mentioned that "all estuarine systems form deltas". The answer given was in the context of Sundarbans.
