What is the difference Between “Contributor”, “Co-Author” and "Collaborator" in authorship list? Does all 3 categories merit as authors for research?
The contributor is a person who writes articles for a magazine or newspaper, while, the co-author is a one who collaborates with another person in authoring a literary or dramatic work, a document, a legislative bill, etc.

Co-Author: He/She is the one who collaborates with the lead author and contributes to the work in the manuscript.
Lead Author: He/She is also called as the first author and is the one who carries out the research as well as writes and edits the manuscript.
I agree with Yehya A. Salih .The contributor who a person or thing that contributes something, in particular.while , co-author ,who a person be a joint author of a book, paper, or report.I addition, co-author who a person cooperation together to achieve success.

a contributor who submit a paper to the Journal; coauthor - is a person who participates in experiments or in writing the paper
collaborator and a contributor is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being a coauthor. Here is an example: A public health agency person collaborated with me on data collection for the paper, but she did not have time to participate in manuscript development. A student of mine contributed to the paper by collecting the articles for intro and discussion sections but did not have skills/inclination/motivation to participate in actual writing, conceptualization, or analysis etc. In both cases, the collaborator and contributor may (or may not be) an author.
