The technological business incubators are more successful for developed countries where this concept originated to create efficient networks of businesses that can come together and form guided clusters of increased business activity in the country. Business and techn9ology incubators cannot isolate themselves from the larger economy and political and social circumstances of the country. The competitiveness score for developing countries is generally low that means higher costs of business especially businesses that involve technology. The incubators are actually facilitators of the business to enable the business become efficient from the learning curve of the incubator and its history of hosting similar businesses in the past. The precedence of high end technology businesses in developing countries is already low and thus the learning curve is actually the trial and error scheme of not a large sample of technology firms that increase the risk of failure of technology firms in developing countries. Technology incubators are either promoted by universities or the government and it depends on as previously mentioned competitiveness of business environment of the country to determine probability of success for technology firms.

TBI's (Technological Business Incubator) are more effective than science parks and business parks, because of their focus and support and are considered to be catalyst tools for economic development.

Not only countries but also universities are now creating TBI's to make sure their inventions can be monetized by themselves instead of flowing out to external parties. Very often those businesses create structural income and benefit the universities and make them less dependent. For countries and regions, if the businesses are successful, they create income and employment, improve living standards and attract investments. They are therefore very effective instruments for economic development and stimulate social progress and prevent social problems.

But businesses can create problems too and with the concentration and focus by TBI's those problems can be intensified quickly. So it is good to make a good analysis and monitor their development and manage the processes and undesired outcomes well.
