What is the current evaluation of societal frame analysis among sociologists?

I have used frame analysis for a variety of research projects from evaluating an appropriated folktale to analyzing a YouTube video. As part of my bibliography, I include citations from sociology journals dating back to around the year 2000. How do contemporary sociologists gauge frame analysis as an approach to explore societal movements?
