There is no one coordination polymer made with Ni or Mn with terephthalic acid. The topology of the framework will depend hugely on things like pH, temperature, pressure, polarity of the solvent.... you know this already. There are over 100 crystal structures with each metal (Mn/Ni) in the CCDC. Here are a handful that have different topologies, but your best bet is to search the CCDC database here: http://webcsd.ccdc.cam.ac.uk/substructure_search.php
Given that you only have a powder pattern, is there any chance that your solid is a mixture of two different compounds? I have had that problem!
