What must be the criteria in selecting experts as validators of a tool?
Like in a content validity study, how many experts must be considered?
Is it scholarly possible to operationalize definition of expert in a discipline?
In a content validation of tool as a study, would it be scientific if some of validators included are not experts in a field or particular discipline?
The validators should be experienced people who have proven track record in a given field or two. The experts are recognized among research community and enriched the knowledge base of the given field.
I believe that experts as validators of a questionnaire/tool in a content validity study should have equal interest, background and relevant experience in the given field.

Another concern is if it would be scholarly to include students as validators? Since they are the target respondents as an example. Can we also consider them as experts in a particular phenomena?
