Me and my group members are currently doing a project to get flowrate of air in the pipe. Our idea is to attached the stepper motor at the pipe inlet. When the air flow through the pipe, small fan blade that is attached at the DC motor will move and create voltage.
We planned to read the voltage by using an Arduino board but now we stuck at the coding.Is there recommended coding so i can get the voltage reading?
Before connecting to the Arduino uno boarad , why not connect the terminal to a multimeter , set itbon milli amps or volt . Check out the mazximum voltage generated by your DC generator in the annemometer....
Hi, first of all check with a multimeter the current and voltage generated. If their values are within the operazione range of your arduino board (see technical specifications in the web paghe of Arduino) then you can use The comman AnalogRead. In the web there are a lot of examples which explain its use.

I suggest you to use the "rotary encoder" and counting the incoming pulse to calculate the flow rate.

I think you should connect the motor to a OPAMP buffer and then connect the output of the buffer to any of the analog pin of Arduino UNO (or any board). And just run the example program of "Analog read" provided in the library.
