What is the best way to verify the correctness of model transformations?

If you want to verify the correctness of the model conversion, is it a process of formalizing and then interactively proving with theorem prover? For example, whether the prover such as coq, B, Isabelle / HOL is standardized and determines the formal method to be used？Hope to get your help!
