I'm a graduate student who works with an anaerobe, so I often work in an anaerobic chamber. I've been working on an assay that involves the steady-state of the quinone/ quinol pool. Anoxic conditions are required for the assay because oxygen quickly oxidizes the quinone pool so I've been working in a ~2% H2/ 98% N2 glovebox. However, I've recently come to the conclusion that my H2 is reducing the quinone pool (possibly via acrtivity of a [NiFe] hydrogenase,) so it has become desirable to learn to maintain anaerobic conditions in the absence of hydrogen.

Any tips on how I can do this would be appreciated.
