What is the best way to search about your thesis to find specific paper in short time?
For example if you want to search about "lack of moodle software in assessment", what is the best website or program to search in order to find a good journal?
I used:
-searching from endnote software.
-searching from google scholar.
-searching from scopus.

1. Decide field / area of specialization / topic
2. Collect only one for each recently published survey / tutorial / research article paper.
3. Critically analyze you will get some thing. Go ahead.
4. Right a light paper for conference and get feedback.
5. Incorporate that feedback and submit in journal ...continue and enjoy discussing with your supervisor / research colleagues

My advice, is to try to have a very clear image of the subject you are researching or else your gonna get lost very easily in the amount of data and articles that are out here. As long as you have some final key words (at least) in mind you can begin exploring scientific repositories. Best of luck!
The first thing to do if you have a good grasp of what the topic is is to first do a list of words that describe the subject. The hint here is to have words that describe the subject matter that you are looking for. The most common mistake of people doing searches is to start with the category words. The frequency of a category word on any document on the subject area will most likely be very high and therefore penalized by the search engine. Other mistakes that I frequently see with people doing searches is to type stopwords which will be ignored by the search engine.
I would suggest that a person wanting to do fats searches do:
1) Select a primary search engine and stick to it as the first place to do initial searches. The reason for this is that you will start to find common patterns of how the results are given and this gives hints to the inner workings of what is relevant to a search engine. Also, be mindful that common search engines such as Google do change the ranking algorithm every so often.
2) Do an initial search on your selected search engine to see if your initial selection of words are relevant to the search that you are doing. At this point in time read the titles and read the description( do not select any documents at this point unless you want to waste your time).
3) Refine the keywords at this point by going to step 2 until refined
4) Select documents from the initial results (no more than the first two pages of results).
5) Based on these documents that are somehow related to the area of interest select words that are from the subcategory of the most relevant paper that might describe the subject that you are looking for.
6) Move on to specialized subject area such as Google scholar. Be mindful that the search heuristics used on google scholar are not the same as in Google. The same applies to other document retrieval engines besides Google scholar.
7) If the search does not pan out the go into specific publisher search engines, IEEE ACM, Elsevier or other publisher engine. These will return more general results than those in step 6.
8) Goto step 2 if necessary
9) End (hopefully)
While this may not solve every problem it is my usual search algorithm and has provided me with good results.
