Spider plots (aka spaghetti plots) are usually used in oncology trials to "illustrate" the behavior of a continuous variable (y axis) measured over time (x axis) according to a group (usually RECIST criteria, as shown in the figures).
What is the best way of making this kind of chart?
Which software should I use ?

In R:
ggplot2 and
Plotly (https://plot.ly/r/).
For small datasets just use time and response variables as columns in Excel or SigmaPlot.
For large and complex datasets the gplot and sgplot SAS procedures. Also, Matlab.
Overall most statistical software is able to produce these plots with more or less programming effort depending on the user´s needs
