It depends on your research project and the cost of the product extraction from microalgae. For example, Microalgae biofuel extraction is highly cost-effective, but the amount you gain is negligible. Using microalgae for food addictive and animal feed, you need to cultivate microalgae for production and harvest them for drying before use. Regarding the Pharmaceuticals product, the growing interest is put on applying different algal compounds in the civilization diseases treatment.
