I am doing a study where in I am looking at a number of variables in patients who have undergone an intervention. I am aiming to look at trend against time (daily measurements) in the variables for a time period of 5 days before and after the intervention. I need to see whihc variables present with significant trend. I also have two groups with different type of interventions wherein I need to compare the trend and see how different the trend is. I am thinking of doing a one way repeated measures analysis of variance and then compare the means of the two groups. However, my problem is that some of my variables have normal and some have non-normal distributions. Can I use both one way repeated measures ANOVA and Friedman's test in the same study?
