Kindly help me to apply statistical test for comparing error rate in 2005, 2008 and 2011 of different subjects. Kindly recommend me appropriate test for analyzing this data.
Sounds like your dependent measure is "error rate" (a numeric variable). Your independent variable is the repeated measure of that error rate (three measuring points).
I'd recommend a repeated measures ANOVA (Analysis of Variance), but it depends on the quality of the data (sphericity, distribution (normal?), sample size).
If you don't meet the assumptions you may choose non-parametric measures like Friedman-Test or Agresti-Pendergast-Test.
All techniques try to look for differences between the three measuring points and will show significant results, if there is a general difference between at least two points.
