Do they know how to act in case of a disaster (sheltering - evacuation) when there is no adult supervison (do they know how to cut off the water or gas supply)?? Tudor Codreanu has done some studies on this topic.
You may explore on Business Continuity Planning (BCP) topic. What is the contingency plan or backup plan if the school caught on fire, flooded or power utility failure ? Where is the assembly point to meet if school on fire ? Who will play headcount ? Who will be left last & who will be the 1st leave the class ? Any agreement has been done with the contractor to supply the portable cabin act for class ?
If the power utility failure for 1 week, what will happen to the student ? Still continue class ? Can they study in a warm environment ? Etc
In the level of high school, i prefer to give them idea about the concept of hazards and risks in their houses and area of living. It is nice helping them to make projects doing simplified disaster plan for their school, house or stadium in the area. Also the idea of crowed management in case of moving large number of people.
