I support research faculty in our school. I edit proposals and help write certain sections. However, I often wonder what else I could do, or what method of delivery would be best? Currently, I work one-on-one with teams as the need arises. Unfortunately, often I don't get materials from principal investigators in time to do a thorough edit. I invite researchers to share with me the best support they have received in proposal development and writing: How did you receive that support? In what setting? Was it institutional support, or did you hire someone? Add any details you can. I also invite researchers to imagine a perfect world for writing and submitting proposals to federal and other funding agencies and describe for me what type of proposal writing support that perfect world would entail. Your primary source of information and support will be your departmental administrator and your principal investigator or line manager. Also the funding agencies helps in research.
