Respected RG scholars, Programming a robot has never been so easy. I have read books on programming languages used in robotics like: LISP, IRL, HDLS, MATLAB, PYTHON, C#/.NET, Assembly and so on. Please can someone advise which language to learn first for beginners. Thank you.
C++, Python are common to be utilized in Robotics. Many libraries are already developed in Robotics Operating System (ROS) in Linux environments.

There are plenty of languages to code for robotics out of which some are proprietary (paid).
First, I will suggest you to go with opensource or free environment.
Second, I recommend Python as its rapidly developing libraries and large community support so that you can find quick debug.
It also provides easy facility/packages to integrate your robotic codes with GUI's or control them via web portals (depends on what you prefer).
I will suggest you to work with Arduino in combination with Python as it is quite easy to control robotics.
