Uttarakhand pine forests of India are again in news this year, not for a good cause but for the irreperable loss caused to the treasure troves, the green lungs of the Himalayan state of India. Many researchers have established the causal agents and the solution lying in that. However, hardly it has made any difference in the approach of the government to deal  with this seasonal crisis, which is getting aggravated due to climate change. This is becoming a national crisis, though not taken seriously by the policy makers.Given this, please suggest how can we eliminate further damage to the pine forests? Your suggestions must come around technologies, policies, institutions and participation?
