Hi, I suggest you to use the MSWEP (http://www.gloh2o.org/). The dataset takes advantage of a wide range of world wide data sources, including gauges, satellites, and atmospheric reanalysis models, to obtain the best possible precipitation estimates at global scale.

In an article by Beck et al (2017) it is validated against the main other global datasets available.

The dataset is going to be produced near-real time within 2017
