Olive mill waste water is treated with appropriated solvents.Extract should be treated with Proper and suitable (selective) Chromatographic separation process. Apply appropriate distillation process with, separated extract and, match the property of desired poly phenols by using synthesis process.

Extraction procedure for polyphenols from OMWW could be as suggested:

- Freeze dry the OMWW and then deffat the residu with hexane. You will then extract polyphenols with methanol

- Or use amberlite resin (XAD-4 et XAD-7) that will fix specifficaly polyphenols. You can directly mix OMWW with XAD resin, then elute hydrophylic compound such as sugar and amino acid, the polyphenols will be further eluted with methanol

Thomas Michel first suggestion sounds a good solution. I recently read a good review paper about polyhenols in olive waste.
