What is the best economic index on dairy herd to compare the herds?

I am looking for an economic index to compare the herds. Because I found more than 10 index and now I do not know which one is better.

It is depend on the your objectives however, the best indexes are financial ratio specially profitability ratio. Also, you can use "Dupont Analysis".
