The mixing length(or the eddy size) is proportional to distance from wall in the logarithmic region. whearas near the wall with large scale roughness, it is considered to be controlled by the roughness scale. Is there a proper function of the mixing length multipled with both the large grain roughness scale and the distance from wall able to tranfer it smoothly from deep in the permeable roughness to the logarithmic region?
