Could you please give me some information on the concept and application of the blockchain technology in Electrical Engineering?
Would you please provide some studies/papers in which the mentioned technology has been studied on a sample test system?
The blockchain is a time-stamped series of immutable record of data that is managed by cluster of computers not owned by any single entity. Each of these blocks of data are secured and bound to each other using cryptographic principles (i.e. chain). The blockchain network has no central authority, therefore, it is the very definition of a democratized system. Since it is a shared and immutable ledger, the information in it is open for anyone and everyone to see. By allowing digital information to be distributed but not copied, blockchain technology created the backbone of a new type of internet. Hence, anything that is built on the blockchain is by its very nature transparent and everyone involved is accountable for their actions.
This technology can offer new opportunities in the energy management of power systems. Actually, Blockchain provides a powerful and trustworthy path for launching distributed data storage and management, i.e., customizing blockchain technologies to meet socioeconomic requirements of financial and physical operation and management at the both transmission and distribution levels.

blockchain technology can almost be used in any kind of transaction, including the transfer of money, goods or real estate. The potential applications of this technology are unlimited, and can be used to raise taxes to empower immigrants to send governments with their families in poor countries with poor banking systems.
