Python is a data processing tool for many scientific applications. see e.g., https://publons.com/journal/9713/mineral-processing-and-extractive-metallurgy-revie/
Developing/establishing an extraction process needs hundreds of experiments to be carried out. Therefore, research in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy is a resource (time, minerals, reagents, analysis etc.) consuming business. Using data programming language we can develop model equations involving various input and output parameters. If the developed equations are efficient enough of computing outputs close to actual outputs we can reduce the resource consumption by large. Many research/academic institutes have financial limitations. When resource consumption is reduced more no. of students can pursue research under a given research funding.
