Dear Mohammad,

apparent specific yield is the ratio of water volume removed from the aquifer or added to the aquifer and volume of the aquifer below groundwater level.

Sy = Theta-Sr

Sy is a apparent specific yield; Theta is porosity and Sr is specific retention
