Prejudices are mostly negative evaluative responses that come from the public or community due to longstanding stereotypes a society forms about a group of people. Such prejudices make way for discriminatory actions to be justified by the perpetrators.

Prejudice is a combination of beliefs (usually stereotypical) and affect (usually negative) which shape social attitudes and/or behavior toward a person or group without direct observation of that person or group. It is probably not possible to prevent the formation of prejudices, as we are very inclined to pay more attention to negative information than positive, and frequently we encounter (negative) information about groups before actually interacting with individual members of those groups. Specific stereotypes often change, particularly when the relationships between groups change (e.g., when groups form a coalition against a common enemy, when one group becomes richer or more powerful than it was in the past, when the distinctions between the groups become less important because of other changes, etc.). Social science-based attempts to reduce prejudice have helped in some circumstances but since prejudice is much more a group-based problem than an individual-based problem, there has been much more failure than success.

Abdur Razzak Choudhury, prejudice is an idea, an opinion conceived on the basis of personal beliefs and general preventions, such as to strongly influence the evaluation (ie the judgment) without direct knowledge of facts, people, and things. In my opinion, the most common prejudices in the world today are racial prejudices, religious prejudices, prejudices about the professional abilities of women, political prejudices, moral prejudices, social prejudices, caste prejudices.

We live in a time, where it is easier to split an atom than to overturn a prejudice. This only goes to show that tech-know-logical progress does not automatically imply ethical culture and behavior. In this sense, only the wisdom of love and the objective search for truth can save us from negative psychological attitudes and mental prisons.

Prejudice is unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes, especially of a hostile nature, regarding an ethnic, racial, social, or religious group. And I fully agree with Dr. Stephen I. Ternyik that it is very difficult to get rid of prejudice in our societies, especially in our present time, and its expression indicates impossibility because it is impossible to divide the atom. Prejudice has become a scourge that destroys human souls, especially in our developing societies, with great regret.

Prejudices appear towards new trends, phenomena, offers etc. if people know little about these news. When we know little about something new, we are afraid of it, we perceive something new as new types of threats and risks. So it is necessary to quickly replenish the knowledge about something new and then it turns out that the previous fears and prejudices were unnecessary. For example, prejudices towards other cultures, other value systems, other communities, etc. are very bad, causing unnecessary conflicts. Such prejudices should be eliminated and removed so that they do not lead to unnecessary conflicts. Therefore, it is necessary to get to know other cultures and value systems, build positive relations between social groups and create common areas for cooperation development.
