I am building a powertrain model in Simscape and the battery in SimPowerSystems is more suitable for my application. In order to interface with the rest of my Simscape model I am using interface blocks. However, when I use a voltage-current interface with voltage on the SimPowerSystems side and current on the Simscape side the simulation is running much faster than if I use a current on the SimPowerSystems side and voltage on the Simscape side. Could someone please shed some light on why this is happening?

Thanks for the help, I already went through these, I decided to use Current-Voltage with current on SimPowerSystems side and voltage on Simscape. I chose this because this is giving me equal results on both sides for current and voltage. The only drawback with this is that if the resistance in the circuit is very low the simulation runs for very long unless the step size is increased. The other block showed a sudden spike in current to unrealistic values and then dropped down to zero which seemed very unusual.
