Hybrid intelligence or hybrid artificial intelligence (HAI) is an artificial intelligence modality that fuses various algorithms and machine learning methods with human knowledge and reasoning. As opposed to other AI modalities that only employ a data-driven method or a rule-based approach, HAI fuses the two to provide superior performance in decision making and problem solving.

HAI has multiple uses, such as data analytics, machine learning, process automation, corporate intelligence, robotics and security intelligence.

AI tools merge data-driven self-learning processes with knowledge-driven processes and dynamic customer profiles, resulting in significantly higher hit rates in risk assessment. The best results are obtained by employing a mix of various AI algorithms, using machine learning and fuzzy logic.
